Sometimes The Answer Is Easier Than You Think

I am one of those people who likes to try to fix stuff. Recently, over a two day period, I attempted to fix something in my home. I thought that it was something that I would fix rather quickly and then and be on my way. Well, that did not happen. I spent hours trying to figure out what was wrong. I tried to fixing it the way that I thought it should be fixed. After that didn’t work, I looked at the manual πŸ™‚ . That didn’t work, I called the help desk and they couldn’t help. Finally, just as I was about to give up and go purchase another item. It dawned on me that the outlet that the item was plugged into was a switched outlet. I turned on the outlet and my item worked. I laughed at myself for at least 10 minutes. Not one time over the two day period did I check the outlet. I just assumed the item needed to be fixed.

As I left my home later that day, I thought about all of the time that I wasted trying to fix something that was never broken. All I needed to do was turn on the switch.

Life is a lot like that sometimes, we waste time trying to fix something that isn’t broken. The situation may not be working simply because an adjustment needs to be made, or it may be connected to the wrong source or maybe it is just is not time for the circumstance to manifest.

And sometimes we simply we just need to take the time to think things through . πŸ™‚

Until next time, live, love and be blessed!
