I was going through some pictures to upload to social media and noticed a picture where my eyes were closed and another where my zipper was a little unzipped. I liked the pictures but as usual I started to delete the pictures. Then it dawned on me, why delete the pictures? Was it because I wanted to post an image that looked ok but in reality the picture was off? This got me to thinking.
With the creation of so many photo editing software, we’ve become so accustomed to cropping and editing pictures that when we meet people they don’t even know it is us because we have edited our photos so much that we don’t look like the images we portray on social media.
Now don’t get me wrong, I like filters and cropping like the next person and use them from time to time. As a matter of fact, I didn’t include my feet because they look like I have been kicking flour 🙂 Hey, I was rushing out the door, don’t judge me. LOL
All I am trying to say is that it is ok to post a picture this is not perfect on social medial and it will be ok. I’ve heard people say that they would not post a pic because the pic was not “age appropriate”. Um what is that? In my opinion, people can wear what they want to wear no matter what age they are. If they like it, who am I to judge? Get comfortable doing things simply because you like it. When we allow the opinions of others to dictate how we do things, that is not living your life to the fullest!
